when I was a little kid, there was a darkroom in the house we lived in…it was there when we moved in. There was a long fiberglass sink maybe 6 or 8 feet long. I filled it with weather and put fish, clams, crayfish, etc. in there that I caught in the lake. Nobody under 50 even knows what a darkroom is.

We had a photo lab. My parents used the shower as a dark room or just developed the photos at night.

Taking pictures used to be such a hassle. And those short, soundless home movies that melted at the end were ridiculous. But I'm glad they didn't have all this crazy shit when I was a kid. I wouldn't want every stupid thing I ever did ending up on Youtube or Instagram. Every moment of life wasn't potentially recorded back then and that was a good thing.
