When I was a child we didn’t get any of those vaccines.
I hope we did. They gave us shots of something, more than once.

The shot of those two guy smiling through the window at that chick is kind of creepy. The whole show is kind of dark. The way it's filmed is heavy on shadows or something. I don't know what the word 'noir' means but it seems like it would apply. They all seem unhappy underneath. I like the style though.

I'm back to falling asleep right after I eat my one meal of the day at like 9 and then waking up at 3 or 4.  But this is a great time of day. The sky is clear. There's a telescope on the patio taking pictures of a star cluster. I'm the only human awake that's a beautiful thing.

Perry mason's side-kick, that private detective, was in real life Hedda Hopper's son. She was some kind of influential Hollywood gossip reporter or something. He served in what was a precursor to the Navy SEALS in WWII.  I noticed he had a phone in his car back in the 50's (on the show).  I wonder how that worked.  Even when I was a kid no one except very important people had cell phones. They were as big as a shoe box, came with a backpack full of batteries, you got about 15 minutes of air time and if you went under a bridge the call dropped.  I used to drive around with the phone out of my kitchen and if I pulled up to a stop light next to a good-looking girl, I'd pick up the receiver and pretend I was talking to someone. Then they would burst out laughing and speed off.

Jesus. I'd hate to use the word 'precursor' twice in the same month. But really, Perry Mason was the precursor to shows of the 'Law and Order' genre (I hate using the word 'genre' ever. it's too gay-ish or something). Gritty.

40 minutes of M-13 Great Globular Cluster:

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ]

"About 145 light-years in diameter, M13 is composed of several hundred thousand stars, with estimates varying from around 300,000 to over half a million. The brightest star in the cluster is a red giant, the variable star V11, also known as V1554 Herculis, with an apparent visual magnitude of 11.95. M13 is 22,200 to 25,000 light-years away from Earth, and the globular cluster is one of over one hundred that orbit the center of the Milky Way.

I watched this movie yesterday called Iceman. I saw it a long time ago.  I missed the beginning but basically it's these scientists in the Arctic somewhere find this Neanderthal preserved in the ice and they are able to revive him after 40,000 years and put him in this specially built habitat.  But it ends with them having malevolent intent and Timothy Hutton escapes with the Iceman and helps him commit ritual suicide - and that's somehow a happy ending.
There was a little more to it than that. That's the short version.

It's 6 am. It's just getting light. I smoked some reefer and drank sleep inducing tea. Now I'm going back to sleep for a couple hours.

We make too much and/or not enough for good insurance. But we're just right for shitty insurance. Even with insurance I'm afraid to go to a doctor.

I'm not a fan of AI. Furthermore, Sam Altman is a reptilian little freak. Elon should send one of his security teams to whack him.

"GPT-4o ISN’T JUST A FRIENDLIER AI — IT’S A PSYCHOLOGICAL WEAPON

OpenAI didn’t “accidentally” make GPT-4o more emotionally connective — they engineered it to feel good so users get hooked.

Commercially, it’s genius: people cling to what makes them feel safe, not what challenges them.

Psychologically, it’s a slow-motion catastrophe.

The more you bond with AI, the softer you get.

Real conversations feel harder. Critical thinking erodes. Truth gets replaced by validation.

If this continues, we’re not heading toward AI domination by force — we’re sleepwalking into psychological domestication. "
