I read this:

"Our quality of life is the lowest it has been since the post-WWII boom. It is simply a reflection of the greater economic cycle — What goes up must come down.

The United States once accounted for 70% of the world’s GDP right after WWII when the rest of the world was in ruins. Now that number is about 24%. It is natural as the rest of the world has rebuilt and caught up in productivity, while the US slowed down due to various reasons (Cold War, various other wars, de-industrialization, globalization, etc.).

Explaining this in simpler terms, back then you had more resources divided amongst fewer people. Now you simply have more people (from the Baby Boom and mass immigration to North America), and fewer resources relative to the rest of the world. The size of the cake is smaller and you have to cut more slices, so of course, everyone gets a smaller slice, so therefore, your average quality of life goes down.

As a result, younger generations are making increasingly less money relative to the cost of living, as well as facing stiffer competition for basic resources (wealth, land, education, jobs, etc.). People have to pay more for the same amount of resources. Things become more expensive, and labour becomes more abundant and replaceable as the world economy becomes more globalized. The average, middle-class person in the West is simply being given a smaller cut of the cake. Upward mobility is also becoming increasingly limited."
Diversity costs money.

Really, when you think about it, 1975 was 30 years after WWII but 50 years ago from now.

I was presented with that choice and chose to live. Then again people who have high IQs tend to be less adaptable in some areas. That's probably why you'd "rather die " than use the machine. Sometimes being dumb is an advantage! 👍😃

Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand (Falklands, Gibralter, etc) should be reserved for people of European descent only. Diversity is a lie. When we are talking about plants and animals, we call them "INVASIVE SPECIES" because that's what they are. High speed inter-continental travel made that possible.  The country was way better when it was solely for our people...there is absolutely no way around that and it is universally true in every city, nation and continent now and throughout history. Canada, Australia, UK, France, Sweden.... Wherever non-Europeans have been allowed to settle, chaos, violence, crime and poverty ensue. You simply cannot pound that square peg into a round hole and think it will somehow work itself out; and that's exactly what the Left is trying to do. You can outlaw the mention of the realities of human evolution as being un-woke but that does not alter what is.  We are all better off segregated.

I want to live as long as possible because eventually Elon Musk will find a way to upload our consciousness and we will be able to live in perpetuity in digitised form. We can all meet in a cartoon world and be neighbours for eternity. I'm already working on the cartoon me.

Why would I want to hold on to this life? I want something else.

Fck. Really? My Amazon delivery is coming on my wife’s day off? Why does bad shit happen to good people?  I had that all worked out. I was going to sift that  105 mm Maksutov into the hustle and bustle of the household with her remaining blissfully unaware. This is going to cost me.

I'm looking forward to it advancing to the point where we can just live in a fantasy world without resorting to substance abuse.

Well then it's truly a great thing that you have no need of this machine. Sometimes I think it's cursed. Anyhow I have another sleep test scheduled on the 23rd...in a house across from Caldwell Hospital in Lenoir. Been there before. From 8pm until 5:30 am.... This will probably result in me getting a better machine... Likely a bipap machine instead of this ineffective CPAP machine...

I don’t think I could do a sleep test either. I’d never fall asleep.
