I've had like a commercial nursery operation going on in my laundry room and I can't grow a pot plant to save my life. I bring shame to burn-outs everywhere.

Maybe it's because I'm buying these "feminized autoflower" seeds. They guarantee female plants and flowers without changing the duration of light and dark, etc.  It was like 60 bucks for 5 seeds.  So anyone here that was smoking pot in the 70's and 80's will understand my ideological problem with paying for GD pot seeds. To me it's like buying cigarette butts or bottle caps. I would throw handfuls of seeds out the window of my car. They were a nuisance. It would be more lucrative to grow marijuana for the seeds than it would be to grow it for flower right now in Michigan. You can get an ounce of reefer for 30 bucks.

I read this on one of their websites:

"Think of it like crafting a fine wine. Just as vintners select grape varieties for specific traits, cannabis breeders choose their parent plants to achieve the perfect profile. This means experimenting with combinations, sometimes discarding entire lines if they don’t meet expectations. The labor and expertise involved in this selective breeding process contribute significantly to the final cost of seeds.

Moreover, successful breeding requires extensive knowledge of plant genetics. Breeders need to understand how certain traits are inherited and how they can manipulate these traits to produce a stable, high-quality strain. This genetic mastery doesn't come cheap, and it’s a big reason why marijuana seeds are priced as they are."

....give me a break. Two years ago these clowns were wearing tie-dyed T-shirts and still protesting a war that ended 60 years ago...now all the sudden they're "vintners"?

I don't know what the hell this is. I'm the last guy on Earth you'd expect to not know how to grow pot. But the research continues. I have vowed to become a producer before the draconian Michigan reefer tax takes effect. Two things they should have allowed but left to private small-time entrepreneurs are - growing and selling weed and taking bets. Vice was a much better and classier industry when it was controlled by criminals.

She is flowering and is way too small for that.  If that is not the auto-flower strain, then you have your light duration very wrong.

Those folks have been doing more science than cancer researchers, since the 70's and weed is the most genetically modified plant on the planet.

I'm thinking it's "autoflower" that's the problem. I'm going to buy regular seeds, non-auto. They have a way of guaranteeing that most or all of them result in 'female' plants. They're still stupidly expensive. I know I can get like 500 flowers in trays to all come into bloom at the same time. I do that every year. I should be able to manage this.  That plant's only 5" tall and it's flowering. It's probably not getting much bigger.

Yeah, that's odd that it didn't grow more. I mean some are bred to be compact but not that compact.

How many hrs of light are you giving them a day?  I am sure you are feeding n watering them enough, are they getting air?

It cost $50 to fill the Canukmobile.  Man, Canada's got to lift those GD tariffs
Is $50 expensive there? Here it would fill a Tonka toy.

"..the new american dream is to get the fu-ck out

I just read an article about someone who left the us for portugal and now works 20 hours a week, has healthcare, and actually enjoys their life. meanwhile here, people are grinding 50+ hours just to barely afford rent and groceries.

It’s crazy that leaving the country feels more realistic than “making it” here. the old american dream was about building a good life now it’s about finding a way out. We went from “work hard and succeed” to “work nonstop and still drown.” honestly, the new dream is just peace.."
