It's dreary and rainy here. There had been some  kind of drought that everyone was talking about but last night it looks like we got almost an inch of rain...whatever that means. Winter's coming, but not for a couple months. Right now it's like leaf-color, pumpkin-buying, apple orchard kind of season and we live in the epicentre of where the day trippers come to spend a magical afternoon in the countryside. The more affluent and vulgar among them will like it so much that they will figure out a way to borrow a million bucks to have an acre of trees bulldozed and replaced with a trashy McMansion, with the optional lanai, recycled plastic gazebo, playscape and lease BMW SUV for her and then send their ill-behaved, entitled, little loud-mouthed brats to school with our kids. Once again I feel like fleeing my homeland - a peculiar twist on the whole concept of 'white flight'.

Jesus said "Let each days evil be sufficient unto itself".  I think that's what was said and Jesus that said it.  That means don't give a shit about what was or what will be. What is is that I found sixty bucks that I didn't know I had and I have enough weed to get through this day so peace is at hand. My salvation lies in knowing that statistically I will be the first in my little family to die...by several years. So none of it's going to be my problem. That's the kind of like higher state of consciousness I'm striving for.

There’s a cemetery down the road where people from the 1800’s are buried. That place is stunningly beautiful with all the bright leaves. But it’s not exactly the kind of joint you want to throw a picnic.  I went over there once. Some of the graves are weird to the point of being sinister…like a woman’s first-name only, or “Baby [doe]”.   They were just Willy-Nilly digging holes and throwing bodies in them with no explanation. I don’t think they had cops back then.

I can just imagine what was going on. Farmer Zed thinks the wife and kids are a liability so he smothers them with a pillow, blames it on like Scarlet Fever or the ‘will of God’, drags them on a sled over to pet cemetery and starts digging. Jesus Christ. How demented. I’m glad we live in the times we do.

Also guys from the Civil War. They have these off-the-rack Civil War soldier grave markers. I tell you this, if I was living in Michigan and my kid got killed in the GD Civil War, I’d be as pissed off as if my kid got killed in like Vietnam or  Grenada…..WTF did any of that have to do with anyone here? None of that dumb shit was worth getting your legs blown off for - few things are.

On the matter of warfare, the best thing about being American is that we only play away-games. That’s a great policy.

I was a fan of Queen Elizabeth. She used to be the President of Canada. She was more of a man than that weasel Charles could ever hope to be.

Wow man. My dreams of some kind of ‘empty nest’ freedom and financial relief didn’t even exist long enough for them to be ground to dust utterly. It’s a nightmare. My wife has come unglued. She’s ‘face timing’ with my daughter while she’s walking in the door in the evening and when I go to sleep, she’s still doing it. I can hear her talking to the phone from the othe room. I don’t even know if the phone works. I’ve just been avoiding her. I haven’t eaten since September but I’m finally down to 165. I’ve been living on reefer, peanuts and coffee. This winter’s going to be like the GD Donner Party. I just know it. She’s going to chop up the mules to buy plane tickets. Homeostasis for me is just a state of being screwed. I have to make peace with that.

Been there done that, it is about to get weird at your place. A couple of mine came back a time or two but the first round of empty nest I dealt with by keeping the Mrs busy having sex all over the house at random times. --like you can't do when the kids are home.

JFC. It’s Diwali and of course they have taken over the community centre. I can’t stand that music. Time for a long trip to Walmart I guess.

Or was he always?

Ot seems you want a WWIII. People in Europe are scared because all neoliberals there want war. They don’t want to negotiate. They don’t give a flying fuck about Ukraine. They just want a big war, population reduction, and to gran as much wealth (preferably all of it) as they can.

So give putin want he wants, and when he comes back wanting more, what then?

If it comes down to WW3, then now is the time while russia is weak.

Personally, I have become a fan of assassinations.  Catch putin flying and end him. The next russian czar will fuss for a bit, in public, but that would be the end of it.

BTW, it would be the same for trump, some public fussing, then moving on.

Cults are fragile things.
