Vietnam and heroin fck'd my family into an untennable state of being. But that happened so much earlier than I came along that my considerable transgressions were almost footnotes to an already smoking train-wreck.   That was the wrinkle in what would have otherwise been a perfect sail from the immigrants' hope becoming the American Dream.
