I'm starting to fall apart. My skeleton aches. That's how it starts. I'm doing tile because in the back of my head I'm wondering if I could handle my trim gig anymore. There's a lot of carrying saws and material through mud and  up and down roughed staircases all day.
But this is it. This is the week to get back in business and I could do it quick. Last falls starts are ready to trim, new holes being dug. I could start tomorrow and work steady until Christmas Eve. It's the same shit, different saw.
Tough to find good help there

I took Social Security at the earliest possible moment because I know I'm alive right now. I don't know if I'll be alive at 70. Ten different people will give you ten different opinions on that. I can't live on what it is now and probably couldn't live on what it would be if I had waited until 65 or 70...whatever it is. But it helps...a lot. We're all healthy and working anyhow. I guess in a couple years I get Medicare...for whatever that's worth. I don't know anything about it. I don't even know what the difference between Medicare and Medicaid is. They should make all this shit simple. All of the various 'parts', 'enrollment dates', those non-stop commercials about 'advantage'.  That's exactly the kind of shit you want to retire from....dealing with circular bullshit from some giant bureaucracy run by people that get their jobs by political favor or quota rather than qualification.

"Cocaine and ivory are not as profitable as ants. Smuggling is changing. 2,200 African giant ants – each one individually in a test tube – seized at Nairobi airport. Destination: China.
'Belgians' and Vietnamese had already tried to smuggle the same species to Europe.
Each individual queen could have founded a new colony in southern Europe. With a size of up to 2.5 centimeters, they displace native insects, destroy bumblebee nesting sites, and steal seeds en masse – which radically alters the entire plant world and thus the food base for pollinators.
Price in Europe:
233 dollars per queen. Total value: over a million dollars.
Illegal wildlife trade doesn't just affect elephants. It undermines global biodiversity – one colony at a time.
Because it doesn't matter to them what harm they do to all of us. "

It's not about bio-terrorism. It's this new craze in elaborate "ant farms" (formicariums). From the same people that brought you Burmese  pythons, nutrias and Asian carp.

Let this be a lesson from nature about forced 'diversity'.

CBP and DHS statistics show Southwest border encounters (the standard measure for attempted illegal crossings) plummeted to historic lows:

Fiscal Year 2025 (Oct 2024–Sep 2025, covering most of Trump’s first year): ~237,000–238,000 total Southwest border encounters/apprehensions — the lowest since 1970. This is down dramatically from 1.5+ million in FY2024 and over 2 million in peak Biden years.
Monthly averages under Trump (post-January 2025): Often under 10,000 Border Patrol apprehensions per month, with many months in the 6,000–9,000 range. Daily averages dropped to ~200–300, compared to thousands per day previously.
Reductions of 85–95%+ compared to late Biden administration peaks (e.g., Dec 2023 highs over 300,000 encounters). By late 2025 into 2026, encounters remained at record lows, with some months seeing the lowest starts to a fiscal year in history.

Gotaways (those detected but who evaded capture) also fell sharply — e.g., ~70,000–73,000 in FY2025 versus hundreds of thousands earlier.

Zero releases into the U.S. interior for many consecutive months — a major policy shift from prior practices.
Net migration turned negative in 2025 for the first time in decades, with DHS reporting 2.5+ million illegal aliens leaving (deportations + self-deportations).
Some analysts (e.g., Cato) note legal immigration cuts were even larger in absolute terms, but illegal border attempts still dropped substantially.

Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong built an entertainment and cultural empire, famously becoming the original stoner comedy icons. Their legendary run includes Grammy-winning comedy records and the 1978 box-office smash Up in Smoke, which paved the way for a massive, multi-decade brand spanning film, television, and the legal cannabis industry.

Starting in 1971, the duo released a succession of best-selling albums. Their 1973 record Los Cochinos hit #2 on the Billboard charts and won the 1974 Grammy Award for Best Comedy Recording.

The "Up in Smoke" Phenomenon: Their feature film debut, Up in Smoke (1978), was a monumental financial success. Produced on a modest budget of just \(\$2\) million, it went on to gross over \(\$104\) million worldwide, sparking a highly profitable run of sequels.

Cannabis & Lifestyle Brand: Translating their cultural legacy into modern business, the duo capitalized on the wave of marijuana legalization. Today, their combined revenue from cannabis, hemp, and THC-infused beverages approaches nearly \(\$100\) million.

It's happening. This is the view out my dope-smoking window. As you can see, my vista is being tarnished by a trashy McMansion under construction. It's a war crime. I'm part of this too. I have made my money collaborating with the architects of this holocaust. I'm like a low-level SS storm trooper with a Jewish wife....or something like that. It's a moral quandary.
