I worry more about my barn because it's irreplaceable. If it burned down or collapsed in a storm, they'd pay for a metal pole barn to replace it. But it's the genuine article, a real 1800's variety red barn made of trees cut down on the lot. It's a community asset. I don't want a metal barn.
Barns aint cheap no more. Neighbor's have a old little one that has become a neglected catch all for 3 families' equipment and some want it torn down I rant at them not to do it, it really just needs new siding and paint.
If you do go metal, remember condensation and build for it. i have actually had it rain inside my carport here in the holler. That sucks.
