Maybe the tactic of let’s-get-drunk-and-walk-slowly-en-masse-toward-a-machine-gun-nest has become antiquated.

Well, it sort of works, they do often gain that way but very little and at great cost.  What amazes me is the troops putting up with it. 

I mean, if your country is about to be overrun and that is the only way to stop it, I could see that. But all but certain death just so your leader can take a hundred yards of someone else's farm field is just plain stupid.

I am surprised everyday not to be hearing that the russian army has not turned around and marched on Moscow.
