Only 12"?  What went wrong?

Just out of habit, I grew the pot plants exactly like I grow these nursery flowers and that is exactly the wrong way to do it. So basically I drown the roots. Oddly, the plants, although very small and pale, produced small buds which I dried. It's great weed. It's way better than what I have been buying. So I'm going to try again and this time just planting it instead of transplanting it from pot to pot to make the roots tight.
