When I was a kid, having bars on the windows of homes, razor wire, walls of bullet-proof lexan was not considered normal.  And we should under no circumstances accept this. If it takes soldiers in the streets to control crime, so be it.  We cannot perpetuate the condition of ceding geography to criminals because it's easier than eradicating it. Again, this circles back to the sickening 'woke' ideology that blames society and portrays criminals as victims entitled to exact retribution by whatever means.
