My parents worked expat in South Korea, I in Kuwait; A few weeks ago we were watching youtubes of the places we had been. It did not take long to realize that the places we had been are no longer there. lol
The changes were so great in both that we had a hard time recognizing much.
If you went to Kuwait today it would be a very different country from the one I lived in. Shortly out of an Iraqi invasion, and during another war, there was a lot of a "wild west" feel at that time.
