My great niece works for a company that goes and picks up dead bodies when people die. I’m not talking about the situations when somebody they expect to die passes away, and the funeral home comes and picks them up. No this is when people pass away unexpectedly or when they passed away and aren’t found for a couple of weeks. Her and her crew pick these bodies up and clean the place up a bit after the coroner leaves. She says some of them melt into the bed or the couch. It gets pretty messy. After they pick them up, they throw them out a zipper bag and take them to the morgue. Then, after that, the funeral home will pick them up at the morgue what’s left of them anyway. She said one guy had hung himself and the body had rotted so bad that the head fell off with the rope, still tied around the neck.
I just saw an ad for one of those jobs and was going to apply except it was in the city and...well...you have to deal with minorities...living or dead not very appealing.
