I find the thought of American police (presumably white) rounding up people that look and sound  like their aunts and uncles to be rather unsettling. It seems inappropriate that Europeans even need special paperwork to enter the country and settle here. I don't think anyone ever asked anyone in my family. I don't think asks any of the Italians I work with...maybe they do.  Jesus. that just seems wrong. I can't believe Europeans have to jump through all the same hoops that a Chinaman or Arab does. I'm going to ask one of the Italians Monday.
