Common Sources of EMF Exposure


Electrical Appliances: Everyday items like refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions emit EMFs. Even when these appliances are not in use, they can still produce electric fields if they are plugged in.

Power Lines and Electrical Wiring: Power lines, whether overhead or underground, and the electrical wiring within your home are significant sources of EMF. The closer you are to these sources, the higher your exposure.

Wireless Communication Devices: Cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, and microwaves are major contributors to EMF exposure. These devices emit radiofrequency (RF) radiation, which is a type of non-ionizing radiation.

Broadcast Transmitters and Cell Towers: These structures emit RF radiation to facilitate communication services. Living close to a cell tower or broadcast transmitter can increase your EMF exposure.

Extremely Low-Frequency (ELF) Magnetic Fields: These fields are generated by electrical appliances and power lines. ELF magnetic fields are a concern because they are present in many household items and infrastructure.
