Our dog, Willow has destroyed some furniture, chewed on the wood work, etc. She's grown out of it now and  I like dogs more than I care about furniture. I could trim this entire house out in a couple hours...but I won't.
 As they say..."The cobbler's children have holes in their shoes !"

I put chili pepper paste on the furniture my dogs were chewing. It took only one taste, and the chewing behavior stopped.
