They don't give a shit what the people want. Billionaires are paying ten times what land is worth and waging lawfare on municipalities. For them it's cigarette money. For the locals it's their lives.
I hope a pitchfork mob assembles and hangs Sam Altman, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Musk and the rest of them. Allowing people to get that rich has put them past the threshhold where anything can be done to stop them from subjecting the rest of us to their will. They have the money to buy space programs, private armies, politicians, etc. They should be done away with. They have outlived their usefulness and have become like that bald-headed 'Wagner' guy Putin had until he decided to kill him.
