It is my express goal to never work in January or February again. I'd sign that. Like a letter of intent.

It's going to stay cold for a while, single-digit cold. This is animal feeding weather. All God's children need help.

Maybe I should put together a will so my kerosene lantern and mason jar filled with polished rocks don't fall into the wrong hands. Also, I want to be buried at sea - in Lake St. Clair. I'll have to put that in there.

Far left lefty loony tunes have now decided that being grossly fat is no longer a health problem, it's simply a matter of maintaining a positive body image! I saw one mastodon soaking chocolate donuts in coffee while asserting that there was no such thing as unhealthy eating!
Of course these are the same people who can't discern the difference between male and female....🤔

"This Southern Grocery Store Was Just Named The Best In The Nation And We're Not Surprised"

"Exemplifying some of the best that Texas has to offer is one famous grocery store with hometown pride: H-E-B.

In the South, we call H-E-B an “if you know, you know” type of establishment. If you’ve had a chance to browse the grocery store’s many aisles, you'll see local Texas brands plus many beloved in-house products. Take H-E-B’s freshly made tortillas and perfectly zingy guacamole, for instance. (One editor considers the guacamole her best hosting shortcut.) These store products rival the best brand names. It’s no wonder that, in a national survey, H-E-B took first place for the best grocery store in the country."

Any Texan could've told you this much.

The thing about the southwest that struck me is how under-the-influence-of-Mexicanism they are. Seems counter-intuitive in America.

I like a little Mexican-ish-ness but it's easy to get carried away and then it's a bit much.  Tacos is about as far as I'll go...Freddy Fender isn't bad. Oh...and drugs...that's helpful.

Well, the whole thing used to be owned by Mexico.

I think the movie Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean was perhaps the best commentary on the US Southwest during the Victorian Era.
