Literally 4 days ago I was standing in -30 at the bus stop. Today I have the windows open and had to take my sweater off. It is February. Some of the shrubs in my back yard are starting to bud.

Being on drugs makes it much harder to claw your way out of it. When I came to the States, I had only 2 bags with clothes. I know hardship, trust me.

I have two states of mind, one that lives somewhere else, and one set to deal with reality. I keep them compartmentalized. I have mastered the art to pretend that I’m normal.

I do that too but I have become aware of the fact that the part that deals with reality is now like 10 minutes a day and evaporating.
