Down here in my area it's apartment buildings and townhouses.  There are a few subdivisions with the fancy waterfall entrances going up in the area, but it's mostly apartments/condos going up all over the place. The young folks can't be bothered with home maintenance.

I worked in property management for a time when the Liberals destroyed our economy and any job would do. They are huge corporations that have transformed our housing into a nightmare. I met my closest friend at such a company. They are unbelievably sleazy and predatory. At the end of every workday we would look at each other and say “need a shower to wash this filth off”. It literally made us sick to our stomachs.
