I read that something like 50 people a year are electrocuted trying to steal copper power lines from utility poles in Detroit. Dozens others are injured. Imagine being that stupid and amoral.

Some idiot did that here a few years ago. He broke into a power station under repair and it had been raining. He jumped down into a section that had copper pipes and wiring. The space had water on the ground from the rain and the electric was on. Fried like KFC.
