I live on a road that looks like a goddamn post card. Now they are replacing all the regular old wooden utility poles that have been serving humanity since ancient times with this enormous steel poles. My house is close to the road. If they put a couple of those monstrosities on my lawn, I go from Walden Pond to GD East Berlin. The kicker is that the crotchety old, swindling, lazy, disability-cheating bum farmer down the road, "Ralph",  rented one of his lots to the very same brigade of assholes that are erecting these giant poles. There's piles of them down the road. So every day at 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, one after another these big pole-installing trucks come roaring by my house.

This is a picture of what they look like...they're like 100 feet tall. They're hideous.

I don't even know what a "data center" is. They have like 4 going up within 20 miles of where I'm sitting. Nobody wants this. Nobody here is hip on Nestle pumping a million gallons of water a day out of the ground here for $200 a year and selling it back to everyone on Earth for two bucks a bottle either.  It's sinister.

Seeds accumulate here. I end up with a lot of extra flower seeds and I have a bottle of maybe 50 marijuana seeds. This spring, I'm going to start planting shit randomly throughout the countryside. That will be my legacy.

Somewhere it said that in pioneer times they would plant lilac trees as they moved their outhouses. So now, 200 years later, lilacs grow wild here. At some point, the air smells like lilacs...that's probably happening soon. I should take notes.  Anyhow, so after I'm dead and there's a bunch of trashy McMansions where my backyard is, there will be pot plants growing among the Home Depot pergolas, playscapes, plastic furniture and leased luxury cars.
