Sunday already. Generally speaking, summer goes by a lot faster than winter. There is an exact number of hours left in all of our lives where the weather is nice and we are awake. That is the most valuable (non-renewable) commodity we have. The guy that does my taxes told me that. He's an accountant, Irish, drinks a lot. Great accountant. I never met anyone that was that enthusiastic about accounting. He actually tells accounting stories and they're hilarious. He's not very healthy though...he's been smoking and drinking as long as I've known him...and I've known him a long time. Anyhow, he said he's going to focus on the enjoyment of his remaining days as a way of maximizing his return on that valuable asset. That's pretty sound advice. His brother's a lawyer. More fun to drink with than to go to court with....and I've done both...as a client and a co-defendant. He said that living below your means greatly decreases the likelihood that you will ever become homeless.
That's all you need to know about life. the rest is commentary. Taken together, those two pearls of wisdom are a prescription for a stable life from the two most unstable people I have ever met. I'm going to prune some trees today. That seems kind of zen-like, feng shui and so forth. Smoke some reefer, drink some coffee, trim some trees.
