"..One of the things I thought we learned from the War on Terror is that "clash of civilizations / religions" framing is an attempt by fascists to manipulate people into accepting genocidal violence against an entire population, often purely on behalf of imperialist and ethnic nationalist goals.."
You learned nothing.

I read a book - whose title I don't remember - long ago that traced how arms dealers and capitalists were behind the world's conflicts.
Yeah that was actually a movie. It ran from around 1938 to 1945. Good times.

You are the one who said, first.

But the plain fact is that the Zionists are no better than the Nazis. Criminals,, war criminals, murders, thieves, oppressor's.

And we are to blame for allowing it to continue.
You sound like a nazi

Mark Needs a history lesson.

To define an Arab and a Jew is a difficult task. The word “Arab” is usually associated with a person who had connections or was born in Arabia. He does not necessarily have to be a follower of Islam or a practitioner of Muslim traditions to be an Arab. On the other hand, Jews are not necessarily considered a race; it is more the combination of an ethnic, national, and religious identity. Both Arabs and Jews have a close relationship to the place they call home, the Arab Peninsula for the Arabs, and Israel for the Jews.

Why is non-religious folks know far more about x-tianity than the espoused x-tians?

Read your FKN bible.
You and MarkJ should consider donating money to Putin. Your logic is about the same.

According to the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh), Hebrews came from southeastern Mesopotamia near the Persian Gulf. Around 1800 B.C., they migrated west to the Mediterranean coast. They are said to have settled in Canaan, which they believed their god had given them.

"California will raise the minimum wage for health care workers to $25 per hour over the next decade under a new law Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Friday.

The new law is the second minimum wage increase Newsom has signed. Last month, he signed a law raising the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour."

What happened to Crystal Clear and Zoey?

The two of them fell in love against all odds and moved to New York to care for CC's aging mother...beautiful story really.  I hope it all works out for them.

It's crazy how much it takes to live even a modest lifestyle.  Raising the minimum wage to 15 is still not that much.  8 or whatever it is now is laughable.

As much as "they" (the Royal 'they') should raise wages, something has to be done about the cost of basic necessities like housing, cars, healthcare, utilities, etc.

It's a peculiar kind of vulgarity that I am having trouble putting into words. But the mentality of the type of person that would value a "McMansion" is of the most shallow and detestable sort. It is emblematic of something repulsively ugly and seemingly unique to Americans and it makes me cringe.

I had to pick up a taillight bulb for the work truck last week.  I was pleased to find that it was only $1.50.  How can it be that this one item has escaped inflation?
