you won't believe this but I never even heard Taylor Swift's name until about 2 weeks ago. Somebody mentioned George Michael earlier and I had to Google who that was. I studiously ignore any and all news stories that refer to so-called celebrities. I know the names of all the musicians and actors I actually care about. But to tell you the truth even if one of my favorite musicians was doing the halftime show at the Super Bowl I would not watch the game or the halftime show. I don't idolize or worship any celebrity. I know an old lady who was a crossing guard for an elementary school in . She gave up her own life to save two kids who were in the path of a drunk driver. I actually think about her a lot.
I guess because she was an actual person to look up to.
I've known about her since Kanye got up on stage and said the MTV Music Award should go to Beyoncé - when Taylor was 19ish. I don't listen to her music but I like her politics and I like that she writes and sings all of her own songs and is prolific.
I don't idolize or worship her or any celebrity - today is International Women and Girls in Science Day. I do idolize someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson, Marie Curie....This is like me going to the movies - it's fantasy as far as I'm concerned as is much of what's on TV. You watch TV, I don't go into a diatribe about what you watch or who you watch.
I'm not quite that shallow. Just fun stuff.
