Have cops lost their qualified immunity yet?

NJ cops can be individually sued for violating your constitutional rights. A problem occurred with domestic violence arrests. Cops weren't arresting violators  unless the wife wanted charges pressed in fear of a false arrest law suit. The cops were granted immunity from false arrest charges in those situations. Sometimes immunity is necessary.
