Not in my yard.

Aurora approves resolution pushing back against migrants coming from Denver

https://sentinelcolorado.com/orecent-headlines/aurora-approves-resolution-pushing-back-against-migrants-coming-from-denver/

Read the fine print - it's not about migrants about where is the funding coming from.

The resolution says, “The City Council will not allocate public funds, services, or staff resources for migrant support.” The resolution also directs the federal government to act on this issue.

Danielle Jurinsky is the sponsor of the resolution. She spoke at the committee meeting earlier this month.

“If you are going to bring (migrants) in here, if you’re going to bus them in here, we’re asking for an IGA (intergovernmental agreement), we’re asking for that financial support to follow. We will not be shutting down taxpayer services to fund this. So, nowhere in here does it say migrants can’t come to Aurora,” Jurinksy said.

Meanwhile, Denver has asked every department in the city to cut money from their budgets while planning for a $180 million budget for migrants

******Again - So, nowhere in here does it say migrants can’t come to Aurora,” Jurinksy said.******

Yep. Makes perfect sense.😑.."

"..What would the people who wrote, and ratified, the Fourteenth Amendment have thought about this Supreme Court decision?

Would they have thought, oops, our bad. We didn’t write that clearly enough.

They didn’t want anyone who had participated in an insurrection ever to hold public office, much less be allowed to run for President. They said that as clearly as they could.

They didn’t specify an enforcement mechanism—they trusted us future people to work out the details.

We’ve let them down.."

The holler was nice today.  Windows and doors open, air it out and suck in that nice heat or the day.

Talk about a nice day, somewhere up in the 70's , I was actually sweating there for a bit. Got a lot done and enjoyed it.

Today was very much a Monday...a lot of babysitting stuff at work, which I'm not a fan of. On my computer all day, my eyes were shot when I got home. Was supposed to meet friends at Oskar Blues. Decided to walk there as opposed to driving.  Beat decision ever. A bit windy and cold...but got my blood running...and burned a few calories.

Over here that walk would have sweated off a few.  LOL
