I was born in Kingston and spent a huge amount of Summer on the Great Lakes. My parents had friends who owned a speedboat . We sailed everywhere on the lakes. I have posted this before and hate to be boring but this needs to be said :  Every once in awhile we would pass into US waters. The U.S. coast guard would come by and tell us. No big deal. Canada and The United States will be friends forever. Fck the globalist scum.

I have a single paragraph that I send to contractors looking for subs. It basically just says I have experience and tools and that I'm clean-cut, honest, professional, don't drink or smoke, have a driver's license, reliable transportation  and no drama. Because that is exactly what they are looking for. 
You put a grand down on a nice white, ten-thousand dollar used van that doesn't leak oil, maybe $2500 for essential tools and machines, etc. and a Home Depot card. Then just show up and do what you were hired to do. It's as simple as life can be. Being a contractor is for people that need to work but don't want or can't handle a job - that's all. It's a lifestyle for borderline personalities.

Seems easy enough yet many find it difficult.

My wife and her sister were "training" some AI program. It was like taking one of those multiple choice tests in school over and over.  They would do it from home in off hours and get paid. It was legit. They got paid and got a w2 or 1099.

I don't deal with homeowners though. I do production work on newly-built houses. There's no one living in them, bare floors, etc. It's so easy I almost feel guilty getting paid. Remodeling is a nightmare.

I don't know shit about farming. But the farmers here do that no-till bit where they 'drill' the seed into the ground. That's all fine and dandy but the downside to that - and it's a big one - is that they have to hose everything down with down with Roundup - which is not that different than Agent Orange.  That shit is in every single thing we eat and drink in America. It's banned in most of the rest of the civilized world. However, there is a mathematical way of expressing the the inverse relationship between the use of Roundup and the need for Mexicans....and that's really the crux of the matter.
