Our biggest single household expense is insurance. That is such bullshit. Auto, homeowners, health.... I never paid as much for a mortgage payment as I pay for insurance. And it's not like I live on the San Andreas Fault either. US insurance industry just sucks the life out of all of us.

I'm getting sucked into a bunch of shit I don't want to do that involves me leaving the house dealing with crowds of strange adults, some of whom may want to engage me in conversation. This is the kind of heat having a kid brings ones way. But it is a mammal's duty to sacrifice to ensure the survival of our offspring. It's not really up to me.

I just talked my daughter out of participating in those. I also never go to teacher-parent conferences. If they have something to say, they can email me. However, I set up my daughter for a couple internships.

I don’t participate in activities that lead to that. I can be in the biggest crowd, and no one attempts to talk to me.

I found that if you get blind drunk people tend to avoid conversing with you.

I'm okay by myself. No one approaches a solitary man unless they're some kind of weirdo. But when I'm with a wife and kid, they feel entitled.

sometimes when I just don't feel the need to talk to people I'll start arguing with myself in a loud voice and sometimes even slap the hell out of myself. This is very effective.
