I just talked my daughter out of participating in those. I also never go to teacher-parent conferences. If they have something to say, they can email me. However, I set up my daughter for a couple internships.

I don't like mingling in crowds, especially shit where people might want to come up and introduce themselves and force me into an unbearably awkward situation. It's horrific. I hate making small talk with strangers.
