This job is insane. I’m the only person that isn’t speaking Italian all the time. The builders are all from Italy and they bring these old guys over because not many people can do what they do is good as they do it. Even when they speak American, I only get about half of it. I’m like a GD Mexican because there’s a language barrier. Fortunately I’ve spent enough time around this kind of thing to be able to hobble together a common language with words, hand gestures and pantomime. But if these zips teach me to do the stairs, and that’s the big kahuna, I become next level.
