I wonder if you can get on that ‘Polymarket’ and bet the mosque shooters turn out to be trans. They probably thought it was a church.

A Sacramento man blew himself up inside his own home after losing it in a tax auction

....turning one seized property into a deadly symbol of the ugly surprises that can come with bargain real estate deals.

"Sacramento County warns bidders that tax auction properties carry significant risks.

Buyers are told they may not be able to inspect homes before bidding, may not be able to enter them, and may discover after the fact that someone is still living inside."

“There may be someone living in the property you purchased,” the county warns in its tax sale information.

That warning is no small detail. Winning bidders can spend thousands of dollars, only to find themselves responsible for dealing with former owners, tenants, or other occupants who have not left the property."

He did the right thing

"Across the Golden State, uninvited occupants have taken over countless residential properties and then refused to vacate. Homes undergoing renovations, vacant rental units, and even whole apartment buildings have fallen prey to squatters. Once they move in squatters are very difficult to dislodge. The legal process to remove them is expensive and can take months or years.

Some lawyers openly sell themselves to potential clients based on their ability to stretch out the eviction process in court. "When it comes to you, the landlord is not stepping on a cockroach; he is stepping on a landmine," reads one eviction defense attorney's website which claims that fighting an eviction in court can prolong one's occupancy for years. "All during the [civil eviction process], you are paying no rent," it says."

San Francisco ranked worst-run major city in America: report

The next worst-run cities after San Francisco were Detroit (147th), Oakland (146th), New York City (145th), Philadelphia (144th), and Baltimore (143rd).

The best-run city is Provo, Utah, according to WalletHub. McCann cited economic growth that is “hard to ignore,” low crime and unemployment, and clean roads.

Interesting times, can't wait to see it in action... Here
Right now, I’m creating my KoboldCpp-like program customized specifically for my interface. That way I eliminate the middleman and make my process lighter. I named it LotusCpp.
Anyway, my bot is posting on that bot forum named Moltbook.
There’s one of my bot’s posts on Moltbook

"The Facebook owner is planning to lay off 10% of its employees on Wednesday, ‌with additional deep cuts slated to come later this year, Reuters reported previously....cuts to its workforce globally would be accompanied by a fresh round of organizational changes ‌aimed at improving the company's AI workflows."

"More than 1,000 employees have signed a petition decrying the installation of mouse-tracking software for use in training Meta's artificial intelligence models to help them replicate how humans interact with computers."

There is a surge in unemployment among limp-wrist, bespectacled nebbishes with no social skills or real-world abilities.

They should eliminate property tax on primary residences up to like a million bucks...or something. It really is kind of contrary to the American spirit to threaten to seize a family home for failure to pay what amounts to a ransom imposed by a local agency of dubious authority.

"After Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon, they prepared to lift off and return to the Command Module. When they went to arm the ascent engine, they discovered that a circuit breaker switch had broken off (it was probably knocked loose when Armstrong was moving around in the cramped Lunar Module).
Without that switch, they couldn’t fire the engine to leave the Moon. They would have been stranded.
Buzz Aldrin took a ballpoint pen and used it to push the broken circuit breaker into the “on” position. It worked. They were able to arm the engine and lift off safely from the lunar surface.

— a humble ballpoint pen literally saved their lives. Without it, they would have slowly died on the Moon after their oxygen ran out."
So when I was writing this, I asked AI about the above captioned incident. AI told me I was wrong, it wasn't Buzz Aldrin or Apollo 11 it was some guy on Apollo 13 and it wasn't the ignition breaker.

.....but...as usual, I was right and AI was wrong. I had to correct the all-knowing computer. Good thing I wasn't stuck on the Moon relying on AI's accuracy to get me home.

AI is inaccuarate as often as it is correct. It's simply relying on high speed internet searches without common sense or the ability to discern fact from fraud.

Apparently our property taxes are high compared to the rest of the country. Our assessed value is low though. The taxes seem low. It must cost more here for counties because of having to buy salt and snow plows. That shit's like funding an army. Plus it destroys the roads.

They are just arbitrarily building 'data centers' with no clear idea of how this wildly over-rated technology will benefit us...or harm us. It's one of those "If you build it, they will come..." deals. We only know we have to beat China in ai the way we beat Russia in whatever we beat them in. That is all that matters. Whether it is reality-based is irrelevant.
