"Another day, another dubious distinction for Detroit.

New statistics show Michigan's biggest city has the lowest average credit score in America.

"Worse yet, it's not even close. The credit reporting agency Equifax says the average score in America is about 705. Detroit can't even see daylight from where it currently stands.

According to WalletHub's annual ranking of cities based on credit scores, Detroit was last – No. 182 – with a credit score of 566.
