My cousin got some discharge papers for my great great grandfather. Discharged at Harpers Ferry, of all places. Old documents can be interesting.
He was cavalry and fought at Gettysburg. I don't know if he was part of the Irish Brigade.
I saw one when I could get on "Find-a-Grave". Like 4 or5 of my great uncles died in the same week in 1917 in Belgium. That must have been a drag for their mother.
