The U.S. can more easily absorb the loss of Canadian imports by diversifying or boosting domestic production, whereas Canada’s economy, heavily reliant on U.S. markets, would face immediate strain."

It's not even close. That's why the Canadian leadership is so somber and panicked and no one here really cares.  For us, it's just something talked about on the cable news channels.
