Shellac was always my favorite wood finish. It is so beautiful and under-appreciated. I like the smell and I like that it thins with alcohol because I love alcohol. Lately I've been using a lot of matte poly and I feel like I'm being disloyal...like it's cheating, betraying.
I'll bring that up if I ever go to confession again.
I don't think I ever used shellac.
