When I was a kid in Detroit it was incredibly easy to make money. You could find a job in hours, you could start a business in days. There wasn't as much regulation and it was more active factories - industrial production. It still goes on but at a vastly reduced scale. The auto companies seem like background noise now. Oh well. 'Rust Belt'.
