My work year normally ends this week but this year it ended in August and I only did six or seven houses. They were last year's houses and while I was doing them, I was struck by how quiet it was. It was quiet because very few guys were working outside because nothing was being roughed.  Two things - or both -  could cause that: Slow economy, embargo on Mexicans. I'm not retired, I'm laid-off. Also, we don't have medical insurance because our "plan" was "discontinued" and we missed the "enrolment" period.  It'd be nice if we could just go back to normal. But things haven't been normal since like 2005...maybe 2001.
