When my parents got older, they would spend the winters in Florida in this condo. It was ridiculous. Just like the movies. Bunch of rich old men that were used to running companies or departments, etc. Now waiting for someone's grandkids to run on the pool deck so they can complain to "the board".  Fortunately, my dad was as big of a recluse as I am so he never participated in the politics.

I went dow there a few times over the years when they had that place. It was excruciating. This was back in the good old days before the muslims damaged our way of lfe with their satanic bullshit. I could get on the airplane with 20 machine-rolled marijuana joints in a cigarette pack, a pint of sipping liquor in my back pack because I know the beverage service is going to suck, probably a knife and a belly full of valium to keep me from melting down trying to deal with Metro Airport. When I'd get there, there'd be no food, liquor (Thank God)  but no mixer. I despised going down there but now I understand why someon would want that option if they could afford it. Winters here are not conducive to primate existence without artificial life support systems...like a GD spaceship. That's what it's like...living in the Donner Party spaceship for half the year. Yet somehow, unlike Minnesota, we maintain our dignity.

Anyhow, Florida would be better if there were like 1/10th the population and buildings; also no Haitians and fewer Cubans.
