I don't even carry my phone anymore. I have it muted and in a desk drawer somewhere. No one calls me.  Anyone that has busniness with me texts me and that shows up on my ipad.  The only people calling are scammers. I don't even know what Iphone I have. I don't remember buying it or how long I've had it. Maybe its a 6. None of us are under any obligation to carry a phone at all times. It isn't mandatory, nor is it in any way inappropriate or impolite to not carry one. 

It's a sad commentary on life in America that this generation considers their phones to be their most prized possession and/or source of status. When I was a kid, it was a bicycle or baseball mit...fishing pole...something that actually required physical motion.
