It was more because I was a woman. The Ultra Orthodox Jews treat women as badly as radical Muslims. I worked in what was then a Jewish neighbourhood. I was crossing one of the busiest streets in Montreal. Two male Orthodox were walking side by side. As a woman you are supposed to step onto the street to let them pass. I told them to move. Spit on my shoes. Also Teaman is correct. Most Jews tolerate them (barely).

True. I always wondered what the Muslims and Jews were fighting about. Not much difference when it comes to the orthodox jew. She had to keep her head covered just like Muslim women.
