600 dead in Israel, 400 dead in Gaza. So far there have been no military gains for Hamas, just a massacre of civilians in Israel. Which retaliated by killing civilians in Gaza. Hamas is calling on Hezbollah to attack Israel from Lebanon. That would likely result in a direct American response within weeks if the Israeli government begins to fall.
