They destroyed Lebanon.  Beirut used to be beautiful (when the Christians ran it). Now it's like every other bombed-out rathole.

I went to university with a girl from Beirut. She said she came home from school one day and her home had been destroyed by a bomb. Her Father said we are moving to Canada. Heard many stories like this as far back as the early 80s.
