There's a couple countries in the world that Americans hold in special regard and if they are attacked, we regard it as an attack on ourselves and it is automatically assumed that we will eagerly join the fight.  Obviously Canada but UK and Israel as well. The US has a moral obligation to wage war against Hamas and their allies, supporters and derivatives. They are our enemies.
