I do have a thing for rechargeable batteries of all types. The most affordable ones are from China. I have flashlights that can set weeds on the side of the road on fire. And I have my own recharger.

I had that when rechargeables were a novelty. Then I got bored.

I guess I'll be the first one to admit that I don't have sympathy for the people whose multimillion dollar uninsured houses on the beach in Malibu got burnt. The Earth is teaching them humility. But for the other 90% - The price of their leaders being smugly woke is steep.
