It's kind of tense around here. My daughter got a scholarship, which meshes nicely with my inability to pay. But she has to audition for the music program. To do that she has to be able to play these classical piano tunes flawlessly. from memory.  Apparently that's stressful because she gets a little crazed and the music goes off the rails and she starts banging on the keys. So her angst is kind of seeping into my head by like osmosis and killing my buzz now.

My wife does most of the child-rearing that been going on around here. I've tried to stay out of it as much as possible. I could only make things worse.  They're trying to  get me to go to their cult at that Lutheran church on Good Friday. They assure me that there's a policy of not speaking as part of their rituals on that particular day so no one would try to engage me in a conversation.  Catholics aren't supposed  to get mixed up with shit like that.
We don't even have to go to church. We are driven toward sin and redemption. It's a burden.
Your best bet is to get so fucked up on weed that they don't want you to go.

Those are the best.
Tomorrow I’m making fried cabbage with egg noodles, bacon, and kielbasa.
I'd eat egg noodles but none of that other stuff.

I will eat anything but intestines full of guts like they do in Louisiana.

She's forcing me to get a haircut at the barber in town. The whole reason I cut my own hair with kitchen shears is to avoid having to sit in that chair and make inane conversation with the barber for 20 minutes.  Plus in these small towns, there's always a bunch of old men hanging around the barber shop like they're at a saloon. They get their haircut every three days. They don't even need it. That's like their social life.

And I bough ginger beer. It tastes really weird.
That sounds good. I like ginger. I made homemade ginger ale with ginger root one time and it was great.

I get my hair cut by this lady with big hooters that always rubs them on me while she's cutting. Sally watches her pretty close though.

Everyone did and that messed Ginger up psychologically. She became like Betty Davis in that movie where she's like some washed-out old child star that's become deranged. Maybe she's holding Joan Crawford hostage and she's  in a wheel chair. I think she beheads someone too.  Maybe I'm mixing two movies up. Ginger became an embittered old hag because of Maryann's popularity is the point.

It didn’t taste bad, but it didn’t taste like beer either. It’s like 4.4% alcohol. In Bulgaria they call that driver’s beer.

Ginger beer is bad enough. Spruce beer is awful. We always had them in the house growing up. It was not actual beer but soda. They used to make them in Montreal. My parents loved the stuff.
