My life's goal is to remain living in my house and hopefully die here.  It's kind of pathetic that in America you have to worry about being forced to exchange the accumulated wealth of your entire lifetime for end-of-life medical/nursing care. That's the way they want it. They want you to have to cash-in all your chips before you leave. That is integral to the socialist-dystopian dream of the Left - blame the haves for the failures of the have-nots.

Some states now have this deal where they take your house to reimburse Medicare or Medicaid...whatever. I think Ohio is like that. It's insane that you would work and pay taxes etc and then get clipped by the government in the end. It's malevolent, mean-spirited. People on Social Security/Medicare shouldn't even have to pay property tax.

I see these articles that are saying you need 2 million bucks to retire. I'm just slightly over 2 million short of that goal.  Those articles are probably written by people in New York and California so I'm treating it as gibberish.  I hope I can work for another ten years. My wife is 11 years younger than me and she has always worked. I guess once the kid is through college we will have a shot at getting something together.  Pensions are a thing of the past and despite the way the media portrays it, not everyone has a 401.

I see older folks who had to return to work to get by. Between Biden's inflation and Covid shutdowns, it's pretty hard to retire these days.

I spent a good portion of my life looking at fish in Lake St. Clair.  The smartest and toughest fish in the lake are the bluegill.  They stake out territories and spawn in pits. They are also highly social.  Open water fish are just mindless swimmers.

Every grocery store, Home Depot, Walmart... they all have old people working and it's not hard to figure out they are doing it because they have to....making ten bucks an hour and being 'supervised' by some 20-year-old kid wearing an apron.

"Marriage promotes 'White supremacy,' according to White university professor
'Marriage fundamentalism, like structural racism, is a key structuring element of White heteropatriarchal supremacy,' professor says"

"She argued that, "since colonization," "marriage fundamentalism has been instantiated through laws, policies, and practices to unduly advantage WHNFs (White heteropatriarchal nuclear families ) while simultaneously marginalizing Black, Indigenous, immigrant, mother-headed, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) families, among others."

This is incomprehensible rubbish.

We have these fish here. We call them Silver Bass.  There is a certain time of year they "run" and swarms of them appear and their behavior is frenzied. They are very active and eat voraciously.  These are real Bass. The Smallmouth, Largemouth and Rock Bass, bluegill are sunfish.

If my wife were home, she would demand we put on the air conditioner. But I won't. The windows are open. The house needs to respire.

A couple months ago, I registered at the local college. The have online classes. I have never taken on online class and it looks like they are vastly over-priced considering it's just a mass-recording. But as long as I'm spending what seems to be an inordinate amount of time just fckng around on the computer, I might as well dress it up as something constructive.

I think hillbillies eat them.  Personally, I don't eat anything that comes out of the water - being that I'm a terrestrial primate and all.
I stay in my lane.

Luigi’s an idiot. What was the statement? He is already forgotten and he is facing execution.
