"...Over 100 clergy and faith leaders were arrested at MSP Airport as they gathered in peaceful, prayerful resistance to demand airlines, especially Delta and Signature Aviation cease contracting deportation flights..."

Great. This is exactly where I have to be in 12 hours...unless...there is  God and they shut down the terminal...

Perfect night for this bullshit - ten below
Given Metro's proximity to Dearborn, you wouldn't think it would be so easy to drive through the front of a building. The guy looked like a dirtball. Maybe he was a protester or terrorist.  I just hope the flight gets bumped so I don't have to leave the house.

"..We love you Minnesota.

I wish I could travel back in time and tell a distressed 14-year-old me that I would live to see a resistance movement of  55 year old women spontaneously singing the Purple Rain album and pastors on the street in the same non-violence drilled by MLK in -11 weather.

"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for.".."

"..In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his severely disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

I wrote about Wael and how our caregivers are an extension of us.

Without them we can’t do basic activities of daily living.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

He didn’t even get to say goodbye to his father.

ICE caused his death & unnecessary suffering.

Now they’re refusing to allow Maher to attend the funeral.

Absolute ghouls.."

Who is responsible if a pothole or bridge doesn't get repaired?

What does that have to do with poverty?

All he had to do was give up his rights to some jackboots....

Jackboots who had known for over a year that the person they were chasing was in prison.

Does it hurt bad when you twist that way?

When you're suspected to be a wanted person and refuse to be identified raising more suspicion, you're on your way downtown no matter who the law enforcement agency is. All is needed for a detainment is reasonable suspicion. All I can say is don't listen to shithouse lawyers.

The agents on the street aren't responsible for SNAFUs by office people. Again, all the idiot had to do was place his finger on the fingerprint device.

Well it never got colder than around -14 in my backyard. That really isn’t unusual. It’s not that cold all the time but it probably hits that most years in January. I worry about the animals outside. But they’re probably better at handling this than we are, except for pets.  Anyone that keeps a dog or cat outside in this should be hanged.

People that hassle cops deserve to get their asses beat and dragged off to jail. We live in a society. There are rules and they aren’t that demanding.

Just give them your GD license and act like an adult. If I was at my job and somebody started swearing at me and getting aggressive, I’d bash their head in with a hammer.  It’s just courtesy and respect - whether it’s a cop or the cashier at 7-11.

There is a word for that, kidnapping. Kidnapping is a very serious felony.

What does that have to do with poverty?

Government policy, government priorities.   Start with the minimum wage.
