They want to do to the US what the liberals have done to Western Europe - import millions of unemployable Third World criminals to change the demographic,  regardless  of the fact that it completely destroys society and the economy. It's hilarious watching the EU trying to talk tough. All of them combined aren't nearly as powerful as the US. As for Canada, the US accounts for 75% of the Canadian economy. Canadian trade is about 3% of our economy. California, Texas, and New York are the U.S. states with nominal GDPs exceeding Canada's entire national economy.  On a per capita basis, Canada's GDP is higher than only that of Mississippi.

Politics really have had zero effect on my life. There's been ups and downs throughout the years but most of that is personal, family, work, whatever. 90% of any hardship I've had, I brought on myself. The economy comes and goes. But as far as it goes, hard times in America beats good times in 90% of the world.

That's pretty much it - the economy. But again, there's been some lean years -seems like a lot more so now than before - but there's never been a famine or like the Great Depression or Dust Bowl. Most of the strife in this country politically is caused by the media. "Social" Media has added a whole new layer to that. It's become ridiculous and it's out of control.

Our whole frame of reference in the world is being manipulated by the media every waking moment and now it's getting people killed over sht that doesn't affect them even remotely. Now everyone is connected to or producing some kind of 'feed' every waking moment and it's warping our perception. AI  overlaid on top of Twitter, Tictok  and Instagram just magnifies the potential for unbridled chaos. Because not only is the technology outpacing our ability to adapt to it culturalally and psychologically; that trend is accelerating in it's pace.

This is definitely cabin fever. It doesn't happen every winter or even most winters. It has to be prohibitively cold around the clock for an extended period of time. I don't give a **** about 30. I don't wear a coat when it's 30 but it's 5 below. They talk about that "Seasonal Affective Disorder" ...That's some clinical photoperiod bit for people that are probably already shaky. That's not this. Having this stacked on top of their preexisting stress probably doesn't help.
