The FBI routinely processes upwards of 500,000 to 600,000 missing person files in a single operational year (for example, there were 533,936 missing person files recorded in 2024). The net number of active, unresolved cases at any given time fluctuates around 85,000 to 90,000.

It’s strawberry week here. We go to the orchard and pick them. Not on the weekend though.

My daughter got me a nice compass for Father’s Day. I use those to find objects in the sky by compass direction and altitude…two axes….very simple.

It's not about the model, it's about the driver. Some people just have that magnetism for waterfowl. Or they're really good at finding the secret spots where all the ducks congregate.

I have a Wrangler Rubicon. Usually the Wranglers do the ducks. You don’t have to participate, but it’s kinda like a cult.

It gets crowded with day trippers from the city on the weekends here now. It sucks. We’re kind of losing the small-town rural thing and getting sucked  into the edges of the McMansion universe. It really sucks.
